IRCIEF successfully organized the 4th Islamic Finance Professional Certificate Award Ceremony at Hotel TENERA, Bangi, Selangor on 24th August 2024. This ceremony is aimed at honoring the outstanding achievements of graduates who have completed modules on the Certificate in Shariah for Banking and Finance (CSBF) and the Certificate in Shariah Economy for Banking and Finance (CSEBF) respectively. The ceremony was also enlivened by the presence of esteemed trainers for the courses.   The ceremony began with the launching of the ceremony, officiated by Ms. Ratna Sha’erah Kamaludin, Executive Director at the Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions in Malaysia (AIBIM). In her opening speech, she recognized the significance of professional certification in enhancing the skills of Islamic finance practitioners. Additionally, the courses offered, especially the Certificate in Shariah Economy for Banking and Finance, align with the aspiration of Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, the Prime Minister, to embed Islamic economics within Islamic finance practice.   The event was further fulfilled with the presentation of the keynote speech by Dr. Zahid Parvez, Rector, Markfield Institute of Higher Education, United Kingdom. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of Islamic values, such as adl (justice), Ihsan (excellence), Amanah (trust), Ta’aawun (cooperation), and Mizan (balance), as well as the objectives of shariah (Maqasid Shariah) as the basis of economic and financial policies and practices.   Furthermore, Dato’ Prof. Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi bin Abdullah, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS), highlighted in his address the unique qualities of Islamic finance, emphasizing its comprehensive financial intermediation, which is deeply rooted in three critical values: value-adding, value-based, and intrinsic values of ethics.   The ceremony honored the certificate to the 52 graduates from the Certificate in Shariah for Banking & Finance (CSBF) and Certificate in Shariah Economy for Banking & Finance (CSEBF).   Three participants were announced during the ceremony as the ‘Best Participant Award’. They are Mr. Ukail Ahmad Sanif, Dr. Wan A’tirah Mahyudin, and Muhamad Afiq Md Latiff. Congratulations to all graduates!   Thank you to all the trainers
